1. Kings Park and Botanic Garden

Kings Park and Botanic Garden is one of the most popular parks in Perth, and for good reason. This inner-city park covers 400 hectares of beautiful bushland, offering stunning views of the city skyline and the Swan River.

One of the best things about John Forrest Park is the scenic views. The park offers breathtaking views of the Swan River and Perth city. The park is also home to a beautiful waterfall, which is a must-see attraction.

The park has a lot of walking and bicycle trails, making it a great place to enjoy nature and get some exercise. There are several trails inside the park, ranging from short to long distances. The wildflower trail, the national waterfall trail, and the horse trail are some of the popular trails in the park.

I have visited Sir James Mitchell Park in South Perth several times, and it is undoubtedly one of Perth’s best parks. This park is located on the South Perth foreshore and stretches along the Swan River from Mends Street Jetty to McCallum Park at the Causeway Bridge.

One of the best things about this park is the amazing views it offers of Perth's CBD and the river. It is an ideal venue for outdoor events, including weddings, corporate events, community events, and social functions. Sir James Mitchell Park is a family-friendly park that has something for every visitor. The park has a small lake, scattered trees, and white sandy river banks. Last year, my family and I visited Kwinana Adventure Park in Calista, and I must say, it's one of the best parks I've been to in Perth. The park is massive and has a range of activities suitable for all ages and abilities. Here are some of the highlights:

Tree Maze

The elevated Tree Maze weaves through the natural surroundings, incorporating physical and sensory play activities for all ages and abilities. The Tree Maze has so much to discover both along and under the elevated pathways. You'll find net tunnels, climbing walls, bridges, cubby, balancing beams, musical instruments, and other delights.

Splash Pad

The Splash Pad is a fantastic way to cool down on a hot Perth summer day. The water features are interactive, and there are plenty of shaded areas for parents to relax while you let the kids play.

Adventure Tower

The Adventure Tower is a towering structure that provides a range of challenges for children to test their strength and agility. It has multiple levels, slides, and climbing walls, making it an excellent spot for older kids to burn off some energy.

Other Attractions

In addition to the above, Kwinana Adventure Park has a range of other attractions, including:

7. Jungle Park Whiteman Edge

I ones visited the Jungle Park at Whiteman Edge in Brabham and was impressed by the unique and exciting playing experience it offers for kids. The park is located in the Swan Valley and is unlike any other playground in Western Australia.

The jungle-themed playground is perfect for younger kids who love to explore and go on adventures. It features a range of play equipment, including a shipwreck, rope bridges, slides, and climbing frames. 8. Lesmurdie Falls National Park

Located in the Perth suburb of Forrestfield, Lesmurdie Falls National Park is a true gem and a must-visit for nature lovers and hikers.

The Shoulder Trail is a longer and more challenging 1.5km return walk that takes you to the top of the falls and provides great views of the valley.

In addition to the falls and the trails, the park is also home to a variety of flora and fauna. The area is especially popular in spring when the falls are flowing and wildflowers are on display. The park is also home to several species of birds, including the iconic Australian kookaburra.

9. Harold Boas Gardens

I have visited many parks during my stay in Perth, but one of my favorites is Harold Boas Gardens in West Perth. This park is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful and serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The park covers an area of 5 acres and features a beautiful lake, waterfall, and rock cascade. The gardens are lush and leafy, and are home to a variety of different trees that change colors with the seasons. The park is also bordered by a range of different trees that serve to block the surrounding roads from view, making it feel like a secluded oasis in central Perth.

One of the best things about Harold Boas Gardens is that it is a popular spot for weddings and other events. The park has a capacity for up to 250 people, and there are public toilets and a children's playground on site. During my latest trip to Perth I went to Lake Monger Reserve in Wembley and was impressed by the park's natural beauty and variety of recreational activities. The park covers 110 hectares and offers a mix of passive and active recreation areas.

One of the main attractions of Lake Monger Reserve is the lake itself, which has a 3.5km trail for walking, jogging, or cycling. The path is sealed and level, making it an easy walk that can be completed in 30-45 minutes. The lake is also a popular spot for bird watching and has a variety of bird species.

For families with children, the park has a large playground near St Vincents Avenue. The Perth playground has a range of equipment suitable for both younger and older children, including swings, slides, and climbing structures.
