What’s the backstory
Its origins are deeply rooted in the 70s, born out of the desire to provide tourists with an unmatched luxurious and comfortable stay. Nestled on the southern coastline of Lanzarote, this exquisite resort began as a humble establishment. Over the years, it has grown into a spectacular destination, thanks to relentless efforts, ambitious planning, and an unwavering quest for excellence.
Fast forward to the present, the Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park has come a long way. From its initial blueprint, this Lanzarote resort has undergone various transformations to stay ahead of the curve in the hospitality industry. Proudly standing today as a symbol of freshness and elegance, the hotel has managed to carve its niche, owing to its commitment to quality service and its ability to evolve with changing times.
Price Range
The price range varies depending on the type of room you opt for, seasonal demand, and the number of individuals planning to make the trip. On average, you can expect to pay between 150 Euros to 250 Euros per night for a double room inclusive of breakfast. It's worth noting however, that all-inclusive packages and family rooms tend to be on the higher end of the price scale while rooms with restricted views can be available at a lower rate.
Amenities & Facilities
There are 3 swimming pools sprinkled across the property, including a children's pool and an adults-only pool, making sure every guest has a haven to cool off. Sports aficionados will be charmed by the tennis court, while the fitness center caters to those looking to keep up with their workout regime. Meanwhile, the Star Camp, a children’s club with a multitude of activities, ensures the younger guests are thoroughly entertained.
Delight in the pampering at the hotel’s spa, where a range of therapeutic treatments are offered to rejuvenate your body and mind. There's more – a mini-market on-site allows you the convenience of grabbing essentials without having to venture far. Several lounges, blooming with local plants, provide quiet spots for relaxation.
There’s even a car hire service for when you wish to go exploring the landscape beyond the hotel. An eco-garden, bike rental, and mouth-watering gourmet options complete the picture of opulence that the Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park paints.
How to get to the Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park
Buses frequently shuttle visitors between the airport and the hotel, making the journey a direct one. The Intercity Bus nº161 operates every hour and takes about half an hour to reach the hotel from the airport. The advantage lies in the convenience of having the bus stop directly opposite the hotel, meaning no additional trekking with your luggage.
However, if you're in a hurry or value the comfort and privacy of personal transport, taxis are a viable and quick alternative. A ride from Lanzarote Airport to the Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park is typically between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Taxi companies like Taxis Yaiza offer fixed fares for this route, eliminating any stress related to unexpected costs.
What Customers Have To Say
Reception staff always friendly and helpful. Irma is brilliant.
Star Prestige (SP)Restaurant staff are great and in my opinion have significantly improved over the last year or so.
SP Pool Bar staff are all fantastic, we are particularly looking forward to seeing Charaf’s tattoo of the Google review QR code next time we visit.
The rooms in the SP area are great with a large bathroom/shower area and ample space in the bedroom.
The Restaurant has a large selection of food of all varieties, but sometimes we do struggle to find main course items to our taste.
For the Star Prestige (Non AI) guest there are free drinks at the Pool Bar and in the Star Prestige Room until 6:00pm. After 6:00pm Alcoholic drinks are chargeable at the Pool Bar and wines and spirits are removed remove the SP Room.
We particularly like the water and ice stations on each floor which negates the need to buy bottled water.
Even Better If’s
Whilst the ‘Life Guard’ on the last visit was the most helpful yet, we were somewhat annoyed that our towels had been removed from our sunbeds. Whilst I appreciate there is a policy of not reserving sunbeds this is the first time we have ever seen it implemented. It was made even more annoying when the people who had taken our beds departed at 12:30pm and didn’t return until 5:30pm with no action being taken. So my recommendation is that you either implement the policy consistently or not at all.
There is a need for a board option between SP AI and SP HB which includes some level evening drinks but not the midday meal.
There is an over use of salt in the food in the restaurant Iberostar needs to be as concerned for their guest health as well as the oceans. Eating too much salt can cause high blood pressure, which increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Thank You
Thanks to Alfonso, Ana, Darwin and Valentina for serving us with such love, every night in the restaurant; to the chefs Ramon, Narciso and Jonathan for the exquisite food and especially to the pastry chef Fátima for attending to our dietary needs with such care. To Esther for making our afternoons more fun, to Jan and Brahim for the excellent service at the pool bar and to the receptionists for listening to our requests and making sure they were taken into account.
The list of names could be longer, because the truth is that they all do their job in a very professional and impeccable way, and for all that we are very grateful and happy to have chosen them for our week of vacation in Lanzarote.
The only improvement we would recommend would be to have a more comprehensive choice of snacks and food at the Pool Bar.
I have mobility problems and use a walker, and was with my elderly mother, we found the accessibility excellent. The handrail into the jacuzzi and pool were very helpful. There is also a pool chair hoist for the less mobile. Level access and ramps everywhere, really good and everyone was so helpful and friendly.
We would happily return and hope we will. Thank you to all the hotel team for a wonderful holiday.
