What’s the backstory
Opened in August 2009, this luxurious resort integrates an exclusive African theme throughout its premises. The name 'Baobab' is inspired from the revered Baobab tree commonly found across the African landscape, symbolizing endurance, strength, and longevity.
When the Lopesan Group envisioned this resort, they wanted it to be more than just a luxury accommodation on the Canary Islands. They achieved this by breathing life into an African aura across the property - seven swimming pools mimicking African rivers, a large central pool reminiscent of Lake Victoria, a savanna-themed garden space, and an impressive African lodge-like structure serving as the entrance.
Not surprisingly, this attention to detail and commitment towards providing not just a stay, but an experience, has elevated Lopesan Baobab Resort to one of the top choices for travelers in search of a bit of luxury mixed with an essence of adventure.
Price Range
For room bookings, the price per night varies depending on season, room type, and number of occupants. Now, let's say you decide to go for a standard room; you’re likely looking at a starting price around €200 per night. Opting for the lavish suites, prices could exceed €500 per night, especially in peak season. On-site dining experiences also range widely in cost, from casual, reasonably priced breakfasts to high-end gourmet a la carte dinners.
Amenities & Facilities
For fitness enthusiasts, the resort boasts a state-of-the-art gym equipped with top-notch facilities to cater to your workout needs. To beat the Gran Canaria sun, the resort provides seven swimming pools including two dedicated for children and another two exclusively for adults creating an oasis of cool comfort.
On the other hand, families visiting with children will fall in love with the Mini Club, where engaging activities and fun programs for kids aged 4-12 years are held regularly. Beyond this, the resort leaves no stone unturned in ensuring your comfort, featuring conveniences such as an onsite car rental service, Wi-Fi connectivity, and much more.
How to get to the Lopesan Baobab Resort in Gran Canaria
