Having spent countless summers exploring the sandy shores and crystal-clear waters, I can confidently present to you the best beaches in Valencia. 1. El Saler Beach (Playa del Saler)

I recently visited El Saler Beach during my exploration of the best beaches in Valencia, Spain, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The beach is located about 10 kilometers south of Valencia city, in the Albufera Natural Park. It is a long, wide, and quiet beach with white sand and crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

One of the highlights of Playa Del Saler is its sand dunes, which are a protected natural area and offer a fantastic landscape. This fantastic beach is also known for its clean and well-maintained facilities, including showers, toilets, and umbrellas. Moreover, the beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, which is a symbol of its quality and safety.

El Saler Beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing. The waves are not too strong, making it ideal for families with children. The beach also offers a range of water sports activities, including windsurfing, kite surfing, and volleyball courts. If you are looking for a quieter beach with fewer tourists, El Saler Beach is the perfect spot.

I have to say that Malvarrosa Beach is one of my favorite beaches in Valencia. It is a beautiful, wide, and long Valencia city beach that offers everything you need for a great day in the sun.

Located just a short distance from the city center of Valencia, Playa De La Malvarrosa is easily accessible by public transport or car. The beach is very popular with locals and tourists, so it can get crowded during peak season. However, there is plenty of space for everyone on the wide stretch of sand.

One of the things I love about the Malvarrosa Beach is its lively atmosphere. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and cafes close to the beach, so you can grab a drink or a bite to eat without having to leave the beach. There are also some fast food outlets if you're looking for a quick snack.

If you're feeling active, there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained. You can rent a bike or take a jog along the promenade, or try your hand at windsurfing, sailing, or SUP paddling. There are also beach volleyball courts and a playground for children.

4. Port Saplaya Beach (Playa Saplaya)

5. La Patacona Beach (Playa de la Patacona)

During my latest trip to Spain I visited La Patacona Beach, located on the southern outskirts of Alboraya, right next to La Malvarrosa beach in Valencia. This amazing beach is over one kilometer long and has an average width of 110 meters. It's a spacious, open beach area with fine golden sand and calm waters.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Playa De La Patacona is the busy promenade that runs alongside it. It's a great place to take a stroll, ride a bike, or just people watch. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars along the promenade where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink.

Another thing that I appreciated about La Patacona is how accessible it is. There are bike racks and parking available, as well as public transportation options like the bus. The beach is also wheelchair accessible, making it a great option for every traveler.

6. Pinedo Beach (Playa de Pinedo)

As a lover of beaches, I have visited many beaches in Valencia. However, Pinedo Beach stands out as one of the best Valencia beaches. It is situated in the south-east part of Valencia, in the town of Pinedo.

Playa De Pinedo is a small beach, but it has fine, golden sand and calm waters. This beach in the city is well-maintained, and the water is crystal clear. The beach has a beach section suitable for dogs, called "PlatjaCan," which is a great advantage for dog owners who want to enjoy the beach with their furry friends.

During the summer season, swimming is possible from 9.30 to 19.30 hours. The beach is not crowded, so you can relax and enjoy the sun without feeling cramped. The beach is also surrounded by restaurants and cafes, where you can grab a bite to eat or drink while enjoying the beautiful view.

If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing beach experience, Pinedo Beach is the perfect destination in the south of the city. It is easily accessible by car, bus, or metro, and there is ample parking available.

7. El Cabanyal Beach (Playa del Cabañal)

Last year I bumped into El Cabanyal Beach in Valencia, and it was a wonderful experience. This city beach is located in the old fishermen's quarter of Valencia, and it is known for its pristine waters and sandy shores. This beautiful beach in Valencia city centre is also called Las Arenas beach, after the old spa of the same name, which has now been converted into a luxury hotel resort.

One of the things that I loved about this beach is that it is not as crowded as some of the other beaches in Valencia. This makes it a perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. The beach is also very clean, and the water is crystal clear, which makes it ideal for swimming and other water activities.

Playa Del Cabanal is also a great place to try some of the local cuisine. There are many restaurants and cafes located near the beach that serve fresh seafood and other local specialties. I highly recommend trying the paella, which is a traditional Valencian dish that is made with rice, saffron, and a variety of seafood.

If you are looking for things to do in Valencia while you are at las Arenas beach, you can rent a paddleboard or kayak and explore the waters around the beach, or you can simply relax on the sand and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

8. La Garrofera Beach (Platja de la Garrofera)

This lovely beach close to Valencia is inside the La Albufera nature reserve and is a privileged spot in the shelter of the sand dunes. It is in an excellent location between the beaches of El Saler and La Devesa and just a short distance from the city of Valencia. The first 800-metre stretch, starting at the beach of El Saler, is a nudist beach.

The beach is approximately 3.44 km in length and offers a lot of space for sunbathing. The coastal landscape also hosts a wealth of wildlife, such as gulls and other aquatic animals that can be easily seen from the shore. In addition to swimming and laying in the sun, visitors often participate in popular activities such as sailing and windsurfing.

Playa De La Garrofera is sandwiched between El Saler beach and La Devesa beach, offering 2.5km of fine golden sand. Dunes define this stretch of the coastline and the Blue Flag bears testament to the quality of the water and the cleanliness of the beach. The beach is equipped with all necessary facilities, including showers, changing rooms, and toilets. There are also several nice restaurants and bars nearby.

9. Port de Sagunt Beach (Platja Port de Sagunt)

Puçol Beach is situated in the town of Puçol. This beach is one of the best beaches within reach from the center for those who want to enjoy a peaceful day on the beach away from the crowds.

Playa Puçol is a long, wide, and well-maintained beach with more than 2 kilometers of fine sand. The beach has breakwaters and a promenade for pedestrians only that runs along the beach from north to south, allowing visitors to take a leisurely stroll while enjoying the amazing views of the sea.

The beach is also equipped with all the necessary facilities, including showers, changing rooms, and toilets. There are also several beach bars and beachfront restaurants nearby, serving delicious local cuisine and refreshing drinks.

Puçol Beach is an ideal destination for families with children, as there are play areas for children, when they get fed up with the sand or if the water is too cold. The beach is also wheelchair accessible, making it a perfect destination for people with disabilities.
