Get this - The Dolder Grand's journey starts back in the 19th century, a far cry from its current luxury status. Its construction concluded in 1899, and it served as a curhaus or a health spa. The hotel was renowned for being the go-to spot for those looking for some much-needed rest and fresh air away from the busy city.
Its story takes a twist in the late '20s when The Dolder Grand began transitioning from a health spa to a luxury hotel. Yet, things really started ramping up in 2004 when the hotel temporarily shut its doors for an extensive four-year transformation project. Architect Norman Foster led the ambitious project, which seamlessly blended the hotel’s historic charm with ultra-modern design elements.
Price Range
You're looking at anywhere between $600 to $7000 per night for the rooms and suites. Don't let your jaw drop just yet. The Grand Residence, an uber-luxurious suite that comes with its very own butler service, complete kitchen, and four bedrooms, costs somewhere around $20,000 per night! And that’s not even mentioning the breathtaking 400 square meter terrace with a panoramic view of Zurich!

We were treated so surprisingly well even though we weren't staying here but just wanted to visit the hotel. (I have my cousin here with whom we lived).
All the staff were so nice and welcoming!
We were greeted by a funny sculpture directly inside the door which created a good laugh and you immediately became even happier. Sculpture by Duane Hanson "Traveller". There was also a lot of other art around here.
This is a very beautiful hotel and I recommend everyone to go here and stay here.
It wasn't the last time we went here.
