What’s the backstory of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Nice

In the heart of the cosmopolitan Côte d'Azur, back in the early 1930s, an architectural gem was born. It was a combination of ambition, craftsmanship, and an inspiration drawn from the French Riviera's enchanting allure. This iconic structure - none other than the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée. Funny thing is, way back it wasn't tucked into the Hyatt chain. It stepped into the limelight as a standalone casino, embraced by the city's elite, a beacon radiating opulence under the sun-kissed Riviera.

Fast forward a bit to the 21st century, the winds of change swept through, leaving nothing untouched. The once brightly burning flame was nearly extinguished due to a period of decline. Yet, like a true phoenix, our beloved Hyatt Regency Nice rose from the ashes in 2004, following a grand redesign and restoration. Now, as a part of the globally renowned Hyatt family, it's back to stealing the show with its timeless elegance and renewed glamour.

Price Range of the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée

Its price range, is as plush as the experiences it offers. So, if you're planning a sojourn, you might want to keep your gold card handy because standard rooms usually start from around €200 per night.

During the peak of tourist season – we're talking about those sun-drenched summer months – you could see the rates climbing up to around €400 for the same rooms. If you opt for a room with a sea view, and why wouldn't you, the prices jump up even more dramatically.

Living up to the reputation of the Hyatt brand, this tranquil oasis offers a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip after a long day of sightseeing. Imagine basking under the Riviera sun on the elongated deck chairs or sipping a cocktail at the poolside bar - that's the cherry on top!

Equipped with modern facilities, you can burn those vacation calories with appealing views of the Mediterranean. An invigorating sauna and Turkish hammam complete the wellness facility, alongside a highly-rated spa offering soothing massage therapies and beauty treatments.
