Here's what you need to do. Catch bus 300 from the airport which brings you to Centre Street. From Centre Street, switch to the light rail Blue Line heading south. Get off at the 3rd Street SW CTrain Station. The Marriott Downtown Hotel is a short five-minute walk away. It's a pocket-friendly option for the budget-conscious traveler, but it does take around an hour to get to the hotel.
Now, if convenience is your top priority, then you might want to consider taking a taxi. The taxi rank is located just outside the main terminal building and you can find taxis available 24/7. The ride to the Marriott Downtown Hotel typically takes between 20-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Taxi fares vary, but you can expect to pay around $50 CAD.
What Customers Have To Say
It is easy to find as it is literally across the street from the Calgary Tower. What I really love here is that they have valet parking. Sometimes finding street parking nearby can be difficult so you can offload the stress onto them and have their valet service take care of you.
Inside is well decorated and comfortable. Everything is designed to allow you to unwind.
On the second floor they have the Kensignton Ballroom for presentations or events.
The front desk is a tad understated and located in an odd place that is easy tobmias and creates line ups.
I love the 2 way fireplace in the lobby here. It just disarms you from the day's tribulations.
Rooms were OK, updated - some attention needed.
Service and staff were exceptional - very responsive, attentive to details and concerned about guest comforts/requirements.
